USES: AlligatorHide™ Super Sealer Membrane has proven excellent as a main waterproof coating or as part of a roofing system over a variety of substrates like concrete surfaces, modified asphalt membranes, built-up roofs, polyurethane foam, granulated shingles, metal, EPDM, aged TPO, and bonded tar.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Surface must be clean, sound, and free of dust, contaminates or loose material. Remove all debris and loose coatings by means of high-pressure water blasting or wire brushing. Any existing mildew on the surface must be completely killed and removed prior to the application of this product. Surface should not accumulate water for more than 48 hours.
MIXING: Premix for 3 minutes prior to application only if necessary. Use a drill and Jiffy-type mixer to mix at slow speed (less than 500 rpm) to avoid air entrainment.
PLACEMENT: Apply with a 3/4” nap rough surface roller or airless spray. Drying time will be approximately 60 minutes to touch. Cure time is controlled by thickness of the applied coating, relative humidity, and temperature. Wait 2 - 4 hours between coats at 75°F (24°C) degrees or higher at 18 mils or below. Apply only when temperature is above 50°F (10°C). Do not apply if temperature is expected to drop below 50°F (10°C) before the coating has completely dried. Two full coats are needed for proper sealing. Always apply coats in different directions. Never thin or dilute from full strength.
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT: Use an airless pump with a pressure of 1,500 to 2,000 psi. A fluid delivery of 1 to 4 gallons per minute with a spray tip of 0.035 to 0.060. The hoses should be at least 3/8” inside diameter and of the high-pressure rate type. If the hose length is more than fifty feet, a larger inside diameter will be required.
JOINTS & REPAIRS: Make sure joints, cracks, seams, and flashing are sound, clean, and dry. If applying on joints or seams, ensure backer rod is used. Apply crack filler and a polyester weave over cracks, seams, flashing and around any standing objects about 3 inches to both sides, and let dry thoroughly.
CLEAN-UP: Clean roller and equipment after use with warm soapy water.
PACKAGING: 5-gal Pail, 55-gal Drum, and 250-gal Tote.
